On December 3, 2016, Pennsylvania DeMolay hosted its annual December Membership Induction Class at the Masonic Conference Center – Patton Campus in Elizabethtown. This year, the class was held in honor of Bro. Raymond T. Dietz, Right Worshipful Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania.

The degrees were performed by an all-star cast, with members from across the Commonwealth filling the required roles. The Initiatory Degree and 4th Section were led by Bro. Eric Dye, State Master Councilor of PA DeMolay, and Andrew Santilli, State Senior Councilor, respectively. The DeMolay Degree was led by Brandon Erazmus of Friendship-Bray Chapter, who played Jacques DeMolay, and Bro. Tyler Moyer, State Junior Councilor, who played Master Inquisitor. The cast was put together by Jacob Beers, Deputy State Master Councilor .

During the Grand Master’s Speech, he challenged the members of PA DeMolay to a game of “PIG,” a basketball game that requires a participant to receive a letter (P-I-G) when an opponent makes a basket. Mitch Holmes, of Pittsburgh’s Templar Chapter and Kody Anderson, of Elizabethtown Chapter, rose to the challenge to take on the Grand Master and the Junior Grand Warden, Bro. Jeffrey Wonderling.

The members of DeMolay won the game, allowing each member present to receive $5 from the Grand Master. This $5 payment also helped support the State Charity, the Children’s Dyslexia Center, as most of the members used their $5 to buy candy canes and cookies from a bake sale being held the PA DeMolay State Sweetheart, Miss Caitlin Gresham. State Master Councilor Eric Dye was also presented with the Grand Master’s Medallion.
